Before you start

Finish edits in DOCX first. PDF is the snapshot, not the working file. Print-to-PDF and Export are not always identical.

Fonts that exist on your PC can vanish on the reviewer’s phone. Open the result on a second device before you send a contract.

Steps

  1. Proof in Print Layout Fix widows, overflowing tables, and images that sit on the margin.
  2. Use Export or Save As PDF Prefer the suite’s PDF export over a random printer driver when you need bookmarks and hyperlinks.
  3. Watch font embedding If a dialog offers to embed fonts, do it for unusual typefaces. Linux and phones substitute aggressively.
  4. Open the PDF in WPS and another reader Check page count and a heading that used a fancy font.
  5. Keep the DOCX You will need it when someone asks for a wording change at 17:00.
