The suite is free to fetch. The hazard is a fake button. This page lists the channels we will name in every other article. This site is an independent handbook and is not affiliated with Kingsoft Office Software Corporation Limited.
Pick a platform
Six legitimate paths. Everything else is weather.
If a page offers a higher version number than the vendor site, that is not generosity.
Windows 10 / 11
Website installer or Store package 9NSGM705MQWC. Dual-core, 2 GB RAM, 4 GB disk is Kingsoft’s usual floor. SmartScreen can still warn on a fresh signature.
macOS
Apple silicon and Intel from the vendor download center. Do not grab a random DMG from a blog thread or a forum mirror.
Linux
Deb and RPM from the official Linux page. Fonts often need a second step on Ubuntu. Four-year-old community packages miss security fixes.
Android
Play Store package cn.wps.moffice_eng. Side-loaded APKs are a different binary with a familiar icon.
iPhone and iPad
App Store id1491101673, publisher Kingsoft Office Software Corporation Limited. Safari popups are not a store.
Why mirrors fail
A file named WPS-Office-Setup-2026.exe from a download portal is how malware travels. The logo is cheap. The publisher line is not.
Channel map
Bookmark these yourself. Do not trust a search snippet that already includes a download button. If two Microsoft Store tiles appear, read the publisher; a look-alike name is a stop sign. The EXE tile XP8M1ZJCZ99QJW is a known extra listing — still confirm Kingsoft Office Software Corporation Limited before you click.

Fetch builds from Kingsoft or the platform stores. Bookmark the vendor hostname yourself.
Website installer versus Microsoft Store
Schools and managed PCs often prefer 9NSGM705MQWC because Windows Update owns the bits. You get a slower feature cadence and fewer “which EXE did I save” arguments. Power users usually want the website package from wps.com/download because it tracks Kingsoft’s current desktop build more closely. Neither path requires this handbook as a middleman.
If IT already pins Microsoft 365, do not fight it with a side-loaded WPS. If IT allows a second suite, document the Store ID in the lab image so students do not invent a third path over the weekend.
Search ads and fake buttons
Type the vendor hostname yourself. Do not click the first result that says “Free Full Version.” Those pages wrap the real logo around a different binary. After a clean install, SmartScreen may still warn on a freshly signed file: confirm the publisher, then continue. If an antivirus flags a blog download, delete it. If it flags the official Store package, that is a different conversation — update definitions and check the publisher again before you assume Kingsoft is the problem.
Unofficial copies
Search ads, forum mirrors, and Telegram channels that ship a setup file are a different product. If your network blocks wps.com, use the Store, Play, or App Store listings above, or ask your admin for an exception.
First-run checklist
- Skip a WPS account unless you need phone–PC sync. Local files do not require one.
- Set defaults for DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, and PDF. See file associations.
- Watch cache on small system drives. See clear cache.
- Ignore WPS AI for a week. Daily limits are easier to judge after ordinary writing.
- Export one real file to PDF and open it in another suite. That is the compatibility test that matters.
- If the splash dies, stop downloading random repair tools. Open WPS will not open.
