Money
Free writes the file. Premium buys quiet and extras.
You can live in Writer without a card. Ads, extra cloud, OCR, batch PDF, and AI quotas are the usual reasons people pay. Prices move; this page names the walls, not this week’s coupon. This site is an independent handbook and is not affiliated with Kingsoft Office Software Corporation Limited.

| Job | Typical free | Typical paid wall |
|---|---|---|
| Write DOCX / XLSX / PPTX | Yes | Ads on the chrome |
| Read PDF, highlight | Yes | Heavy edit, batch convert |
| OCR a scan | Often no | Premium PDF tools |
| Cloud | About 1 GB | About 20 GB advertised |
| WPS AI | Daily crumbs | Higher quotas on Pro+ |
Do not buy a crack
An “ad-free full 2026” EXE is the malware product. Pay Kingsoft or live with ads. Guide: ads. Banners in a signed build are not the same incident as a trojanized installer.
Confirm on the vendor site
Standard, Pro+, and sharing plans are marketed on wps.com. We will not freeze a dollar amount here. Open the buy page before you enter a card. Store subscriptions (Apple, Google, Microsoft) follow those stores’ cancel rules.
Who should pay
Pay if ads embarrass you on a client call, if OCR is the weekly job, or if Cloud quota is the actual suitcase you need. Do not pay because a YouTube thumbnail said the free build is fake. The free build writes DOCX.
Who should not pay yet
Students with a deadline and a working Writer. Shops that only print invoices. Anyone who has not tried turning off marketing toggles in settings. Try a week of ordinary work before you judge AI quotas.
What “free” still costs you in clicks
Ads in the chrome. A prompt to create a Kingsoft account. A PDF tool that works once, then asks for Premium on the batch. None of that means the Writer file is fake. It means the suite is a funnel. Learn the walls on this page, then decide. A crack that promises a silent full suite is the malware product, not a shortcut.
