Why the name confuses search
People search Word, Excel, and PDF more than Writer. WPS rides those queries. This handbook uses the product name and still says DOCX when that is the file on disk.
Store listings as export skin
Play package cn.wps.moffice_eng, App Store id1491101673, Microsoft Store 9NSGM705MQWC are how the international build is delivered. The publisher line still has to say Kingsoft.
What did not change
It is still proprietary software. Updates still belong on official channels. See download.
